TRAVELING MUSIC

by Neil Peart: Fascinating book by the Rush drummer, mostly about his travels by motorcycle around the US, and how it related to what was happening in his life at the time & the music he listened to.
But he also talked about his years with and before Rush: the most interesting part for me was his stay in London, England – which apparently coincided with the time I lived in London & Esher. And he worked in a store on Carnaby Street, where I used to window shop as I strolled down when I was a senior in high school (shout out to the American Community School in Knightsbridge, now closed at that location. And to my friend Becky Watkins, who once dated a member of America before they were famous. RIP: Becky, miss you a lot.) I did buy a nice pair of maroon suede boots on Carnaby Street, sure won’t fit now, if I could even find them…

KETCHUP PORN

‘The food company Heinz has apologised after a QR code on a bottle of tomato ketchup directed people to a pornography website.
The company said that the code was out of date and that it was taking steps to prevent it happening again.
The issue was spotted by Daniel Korell, a customer in Germany, who reported it to the company.’
from BBCOnline

Of course, Daniel was the only one to let Heinz know about the porn code, it doesn’t mean he was the only one to notice it…

RIP: CHRISTOPHER LEE

At the age of 93; Not the first, but to me the best Dracula ever, and even if he hadn't gone on to other movie roles, he still would live on forever. Sorry to see him go, but at least he lived a long full life (though not as long as Dracula, of course).
Now you can get together with your old friend Peter Cushing and laugh over old times...and old movies made together...
