THE NAVIGATOR

by Clive Cussler W/Paul Kemprecos:
' "Come below and I'll brew up some coffee.
I'll mix in something to chase away the chill."
"It's eighty degrees, Mr Nickerson."
"No matter. It's chilly somewhere."'

BORAT...BETTER THAN THE REAL THING

"Kazakhstan's shooting team has been left stunned after a comedy national anthem from the film Borat was played at a medal ceremony at championships in Kuwait instead of the real one."

WORLD'S UGLIEST DOG DIES

The owner of the "world's ugliest dog" has announced the death of her 15-year-old prize winning pet.

Yoda, a Chinese crested and Chihuahua mix, shot to fame last year when she won the World's Ugliest Dog contest in California.

When Terry Schumacher found Yoda she initially mistook the abandoned dog for a rat, but the animal went on to win a $1000 (£638) prize for her looks.

Of shame, no doubt…

RIP: MICHAEL HOSSACK

1946 - March 12, 2012. Longtime drummer for the Doobie Brothers, in the early 70s, and then again from 1987 - 2010. Also drummed on their last album World Gone Crazy which I own an autographed copy of. Really sorry to see him go, he will truly be missed by the band and the legions of Doobies fans.
Rock on, Big Mike, rock on...

GONE FOR GOOD

by Harlan Coben: The second book I've read from this author, who was recommended by a waitress I met who really enjoyed him. Well, the first book I read, Hold Tight, I didn't like at all.
But I'd already bought this book at someone's yard sale, so decided to give Coben another try. Let me tell you, this book was nothing like the last one, an incredible read; with so many plot twists that everytime they come up with an answer it makes perfect sense - but then so does the next one, until the book comes around full circle and finally all is revealed.
So if you haven't read any Coben, this is the one to start with...

RIP: RONNIE MONTROSE

1947 - MARCH 3, 2011: Dead of prostate cancer. While he played in many bands and on many albums for other people, he seemed to be most famous for Montrose, the band he started in 1973 and had then unknown Sammy Hagar as a bandmate before he left to start his solo career.
Rock on Ronnie, rock on...

OR WAS SHE PUSHED?

From BBConline.com:
A ewe, thought to have been a contender for the title of world's oldest sheep, has died after falling off a cliff.

If I were the sheep police, I'd be looking at the world's 2nd oldest sheep!
