WHO SAID DELL STINKS?

A number of Dell users have complained that their Latitude 6430u Ultrabooks
"smell of cat urine".
Dell engineers have ruled out biological contamination,
and said the smell was not a health hazard.

Oh, wait...I guess they do!

RIP: LOU REED

1942 - 10/27/2013:  Famous for being in The Velvet Underground and then making his own solo career a hodge-podge of styles and sounds. Never really cared for him, but do own Rock N Roll Animal, his live album with 2 of his songs I do like; Sweet Jane (with the incredible intro) & Rock And Roll. So now he's reunited with Sterling Morrison and they can have their 1/2 Velvets reunion.
Rock on Lou, rock on...

RIP: GYPIE MAYO

Gypie Mayo, who played guitar for Dr. Feelgood and the reunited Yardbirds, has passed away. He was 62. Mayo replaced Wilko Johnson in Dr. Feelgood in 1977 and stayed with them until 1981. In 1996, he joined the restructured Yardbirds, playing guitar with the band until 2004.
Saw Gypie with the Yardbirds in 2002 when they played at Epcot, yeah, he sure could rock!
Rock on, Gypie, rock on...

THE ELEPHANT TO HOLLYWOOD

by Michael Caine:

‘I’m aware I have this image in the media and I have to confess that I quite like it, but of course I’m not allowed to take myself too seriously. I once tried it on Shakira. “I’m an icon,” I said. “It says so in the paper.” “You may be an icon,” she said, “but you’d better take the rubbish out!”’

JUST HOW 'COMPLETELY'?

"Chrysler says it will start selling a completely
new midsize car early next year."

I'm guessing...no wheels, no engine, no gears, windshields or steering wheel?
 That would make it a...what?
A travois like the Native-Americans used to use, I guess...at least it should be cheap.

CAVIAR

The Strange History and Uncertain Future of the World's Most Coveted Delicacy

BY Inga Saffron:
A fascinating book that in 250 pages tells you more about caviar than you probably thought you needed to know. The author not only tells the origins and early history of caviar, but also personally went and talked to people who caught the fish (legally & illegally), made the caviar, imported, smuggled, and sold it. And the ‘best’ caviar comes from one of the ugliest prehistoric fish you’ve ever seen. When I was younger I actually tried caviar, didn’t like it at all, and after reading about it am glad I never developed a taste for it, but not for the reason ($$$) that you may think. So if you see a copy of this book (I got mine at Dollar Tree) pick it up, it’s an easy read and truly an interesting book.

THE BAZAAR EXPERIENCE

Not sure I could eat many of these items, but interesting to watch how they make them. And I've met Josh, the stepson of a friend of mine, and despite the 'hoity-toity' cooking is a real down to earth guy who really enjoys his work.
And it comes to mind that bazaar & bizarre are pronounced almost the same...
