THANKS, 2nd AMENDMENT...

...for once again protecting an armed asshole from innocent children. My grandson, age 5, on his first day of kindergarten; thank god he's still here to enjoy Xmas. Don't know when  politicians are going to wake up and stop letting the NRA dictate gun policy, this just gets worse & worse.

And actually, there used to be gun control, see excerpt below from a Time Magazine article...

So, c'mon people, I really, really want to see Ryley graduate from college...

CHEER UP, ME

Well, that makes me feel better, just looking at the little guy (pre-haircut). Just haven't been able to get into this since Mom died. Edge of depression? Don't know, but I seem quieter than normal. At least to me...
Bear with me folks, and hopefully soon the same old warped me will be back.

I AM THE WALRUS (APPARENTLY)

So my grandson Ryley went to Sea World last week, and the story as I hear it is that upon seeing the walrus up close, he said "Pop-Pop" which is what he usually calls me...yeah, I can see the resemblance...
Goo goo g'joob...

RYLEY: MASTER OF SPELLING

So Ryley (almost 2-1/2) has this magnetic letter set that comes in a metal schoolhouse building. Apparently he takes the letters out and groups them by colors. Well, the other day (and his Dad swears this is true) he took them out and placed them in the order as seen below!!
Not only is he smart, but he knows what's important in life (well, next to good beer & true love).

HAPPY HALLOWEEN SEASON

And it certainly is at my son Corey's, house; a month long celebration of 'ghoulies & ghosties & long-leggety beasties'.
And as you can see, grandson Ryley does his part!

KING OF FRIES

Yes, I am the king of fries...just don't give me ketchup, or I will use them as a eating tool for the ketchup. Fries rock, but ketchup rules!!

IT'S A SMALL WORLD (MAYBE)

It's a Ryley world after all
it's a Ryley world after all
it's a Ryley world after all
don't know why they call it small...
So, we got to go to Magic Kingdom with Ryley this past weekend, and of course his favorite ride was Small World (which I remember from the 1964 World's Fair) and we had to do it twice. And the figures seem about Ryley's size (just under 3') so they're not small to him(hence the reworking of the theme song...). Yeah, it was so much fun,
though my feet still hurt...

HERE HE COMES...THE CREATURE IS LOOSE...

Yes, Young Master Ryley has learned to crawl; it's so cool. He almost did it at the Grandfolks house when we had him over this past weekend, but he couldn't quite get the hang of it. So, a couple of days later this video shows up in my inbox from the proud parents. It's so cool. What they don't realize, is now it never, ever stops...hahahaha

...hahaha...Grandparents revenge...hahahaha...

MASTER RYLEY - ROCKIN' DUDE

So we had Master Ryley of 7 months old for the weekend. What a guy! But the story is about bringing him home for the weekend. Jami brings him to work on Friday so I can bring him home
to party with the grandfolks for the weekend. Driving home, we're listening to John Mayall; no response from the Ryley dude. Mayall is done, put in Jimi Hendix Are You Experienced. Well, after the first song, all of a sudden, the second song the thumb goes in mouth and humming commences. And oddly enough, he stops humming after the second song - waits for the third song and starts up again after the break!!. And so it goes for the rest of the drive home... What a rockin' dude...
...he obviously gets it from his mom, who could have been born 50 years ago and fits right in.
