BAZINGA!

On the same day he made his birth certificate available, President Obama sat down with Oprah Winfrey and talked about what led him to make the surprise move. "I said to my team, look, even though this is not usually what the state of Hawaii does…let's ask them for a special dispensation where they will go ahead and provide us with the original to see if we can put this to rest." When Winfrey asked what he had thought of the conspiracy theories, Obama cheekily replied,

"Can I just say I was there, so I knew. I knew I had been born. I remembered it."

RIP: TOM KING

DOB Unknown - April 23, 2011 Tom King was the lead guitarist and founder of the Outsiders, a Cleveland, Ohio rock band that scored a huge hit with 1966's "Time Won't Let Me."
One of those catchy 60s songs that was probably in a million compilations, actually was listening to a Nuggets cassette in the car today, and it was on that. So while the band never got real famous for more than their short time span, a hundred years from now, their song will probably still show up on 60s compilations.
Rock on, Tom, rock on...

SERIOUSLY...?

So now that President Obama has released his birth certificate,

Donald Trump has moved on to other things.

Like, how did the Pres get into Ivy League colleges? Really…isn’t that the college’s problem?

My question is…where was Donald Trump when they handed out intelligence…?

RIP: KENT MORRILL

April 2, 1941 - April 15, 2011 Kent Morrill was the lead singer and keyboardist for Seattle, Washington area garage rock band, the Fabulous Wailers. Having been with the group since inception, he was the only original member still playing with the band in recent years.
Now, you've probably never heard of him, and neither had I, until I read the Dave Marsh book Louie, Louie and learned that Kent's band did a version even before Paul Revere & the Raiders or The Kingsmen. So I bought the CD, reissued from the original vinyl by Collectable Records, and it's some rocking stuff (for it's time).
So rock on, Kent, rock on, and perhaps play in the largest Louie, Louie band in the sky...

JAYNORMOUS

Though this picture does not do it justice - imagine if you will 1-1/2 pounds (yes, pounds) of your favorite deli meat between two pieces of great bread (fries, cole slaw & pickle on the side - but who cares about them). Notice the knives holding the sandwich together, yes, they are full size dinner knives. So I had my 4th one tonight, my meat is roast beef, and it's perfect rare roast beef, and the trick is lots of mayo to keep it going down. The first time I tried one, I just had it plain, and only got through one-half. After that I learned, lots of mayo on the side so as to keep spreading it on the meat, and then it all goes down(well- if you're a big eater, that is). If not, then you eat half and take the rest home, you can make 2 or 3 sandwiches out of the leftovers! And where do you get this? Toojays Gourmet Deli with locations spread around central Florida, and outside of New York City, you'll find nothing as Jewish Deli (well maybe around Miami/Ft. Lauderdale) in the entire South.

COINCIDENCE...I THINK NOT...WELL OF COURSE IT IS (MAYBE)

So I’m sitting here at work listening to The Who Ultimate Collection, disc 2, track two, “Won’t Get Fooled Again”. Stopped over in a co-worker’s office - who’s listening to her radio…and what’s playing…

Yeah really, the same song…

Cue Twilight Zone music (doo doo doo doo…)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAMBRINUS

Today is the traditional birthday of Gambrinus, sometimes called King Gambrinus, considered to be the patron saint of beer, brewing and/or Belgian beer. Not an “official” saint, at least not in the catholic church, but a legendary figure. Regardless (or irregardless), join me in drinking a toast to King Gambrinus today.

POTATO EARTH

Isn't this a great picture? It's actually an image of Earth's magnetic field, and therefore old planet Earth isn't actually round, magnetically. Pretty cool, eh?
