FROM BBCONLINE

"A Worcestershire poker player pleads guilty to murdering his wife in the US."

And it goes without saying (but I will) that no remains were found, just dozens of full sauce bottles…

COINCIDENCE - I THINK NOT

'Carnival Cruise Lines CEO Gerry Cahill
made a public apology Thursday night as the Carnival Triumph pulled into port at Mobile, Ala., after its disastrous fire and five-day delay with limited power and plumbing. Cahill said the company prides itself on offering a great vacation experience and "clearly we failed in this particular case."

LATIN - CUR NON?

A sketchy understanding of the language is not good enough. "Take the sentence urinibor piscinam: if you are guessing, you might think it means 'I will urinate in the swimming pool' but it doesn't. It means 'I will dive into the swimming pool'.
"With Latin, either you know it or you don't," says Foster.

SAM ADAMS BEER QUOTE

“Let no man thirst for good beer.”

Interestingly, despite common belief that Sam Adams was a brewer, he was not. He was a partner in the family malthouse, which made malt for the brewing process. So technically he was Sam Adams, maltster.

RIP: REG PRESLEY

6/12/41 - Feb.4 2013: The lead singer of the iconic "Wild Thing" as a member of the Troggs. Sure, they had other songs, but it will always be for "Wild Thing" that Reg & the rest of The Troggs will be remembered for.
Rock on Reg, rock on...

DUNGEON, FIRE, AND SWORD

Subtitled: The Knights Templar In the Crusades: by John J Robinson:
“The Templar was never to allow another person to see his naked body…the Templar was never to bathe his body. Although it may not have been intentional, the rule never to remove his sheepskin drawers and not to bathe for years on end in a blistering hot climate may have helped the Templar knight to adhere to his vow of chastity.”

(During the Albigensian Crusade)”One woman was arrested (as a heretic) because she was known to bathe every Saturday, a habit not in keeping with Christian custom.”

tonnes of caramelised brown goat cheese - a delicacy
known as Brunost - caught light as it was being driven
through the Brattli Tunnel at Tysfjord, northern Norway,

The fire raged for five days and smouldering toxic gases
