So at work the other day, one of the guys in the shop asks me, "So when are you going to start listening to country music?" Say what! "Yeah, you know, as we get older out taste in music changes so we listen to country" Uh, no...
Not sure what the logic behind that is, though my wife's friend Liz now listens to country music even though she grew up in the 60s like us. Not sure what the point of changing your taste in music is. You know, it always annoys me when I see people our age and younger listening to stuff like Sinatra and other music from our parent's generation. Why? I still listen to the music I grew up with, and even find newer music I enjoy listening to.
So c'mon, just because Tull sang about too old to rock & roll doesn't mean you have to take it literally - you're never too old to rock & roll...
even if you don't have the energy left to dance to it...
