WEIRD AL

Yes, he's weird...but he's also Al. Saw him on Sunday evening at Cypress Gardens, busy
weekend, wasn't it. This is the fourth time I've seen him, thought the first three were
mainly so my son, Corey, could see him. First time was about 1987 when he was the
opening act for the Monkees 20th Anniversary tour! Isn't that a trip! Saw him twice in
Florida, once at Downtown Disney, and once not sure where; we stumbled upon it by accident
and then got free tix from a radio station.
I'll tell you, whatever else you think, the man has got talent, and he's funny,
and he's a damn good entertainer. He played 2-1/2 hours on Sunday, and during
costume changes he showed video clips from AL-TV and other stuff, so even
when he wasn't actually on stage, he was still entertaining. And he still has the fat suit!
Oh yeah, Corey's seen him 8 or 9 times, but this time my unborn grandson
Ryley got to hear him for the first (I'm sure not the last) time!!

Rock on Ryley, rock on!
